What
is a care brokerage?
The term ‘Care brokerage’ refers to a
section of the care management process.
Essentially, care brokerages provide, at no cost, an independent link
between care service providers and local training providers. As a one-stop shop, we can provide information
on funding for training, as well as which training providers offer the services
that best meet your needs.
How
does it work?
Search our website or contact us directly on 01223
699319 for a comprehensive list of training providers in your area, or by care
type.
Why
have Brokerages?
The launch of the Regional Skills Strategy for
Health and Social Care in 2006 highlighted the critical importance Care
Brokerages have in ensuring that employers are able to access funding and
provision of quality training. Skills for
Care Eastern, a not-for-profit organisation that aims to improve
adult social care services across the whole of England by supporting
employers’ workforce development activity, endorse and support the Care
Brokerage model. In addition, the Skills for
Care Eastern Regional Committee has established key principals of
the governance for Social Care Brokerages.
