The Cambridgeshire Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Team at Cambridgeshire County Council can offer you the following courses: This two day multi-agency training course aims to give front line agency staff an in-depth and practical understanding of how to identify, understand and respond to service users (considered vulnerable adults) experiencing domestic violence. Counselling Skills for Practitioners supporting individuals who have experienced abuseThis two-day specialist skills course aims to increase the confidence and ability of practitioners working with individuals experiencing abuse or at risk of abuse. Participants will gain the practical experience of using counselling skills and an opportunity to reflect and build on their current communication skills. The E-Learning PackageThe Cambridgeshire County Council Adult Safeguarding Training Team has a leading E- learning package customize to introduce individuals to adult safeguarding information. the package is relevant to: Cambridgeshire County Council staff, partner agencies, residential services, care providers, charities, in fact anyone working with vulnerable adult or coming in contact with vulnerable adults. Initial InvestigationsThis course is to enable staff to have an understanding of the issues relating to the investigative process and to adopt best practice when making enquiries in adult safeguarding cases. Train the TrainerA two day course for organisations that want to deliver Induction Training on the topic of Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults in-house to staff. There is an opportunity to attend two professional updates per annum. Comprehensive training resource are provided to delegates , to enable quality assured training , which is aligned with Cambridgeshire Vulnerable Adults local policies and procedures. Management ResponsibilitiesThis two and a half -day course aims to provide private sector and health and social care managers with the knowledge and skills to manage adult protection allegations within an organisation, and examine the interface between adult protection disciplinary and criminal proceedings. There is an additional half day course being included in this training for service providers wanting more information about Independent Safeguarding Authority and Induction Training and Assessment responsibilities under the Care Standards Act. |
